Agile in Learning & Development
Agile is a culture shift much as TQM and Six Sigma were. Training and team development is imperative to ensure the effective use and implementation of agile. The benefits will include an informed workforce and stakeholders that are engaged in the project. Agile is an iterative, transparent, and collaborative approach to product development that can be accomplished through the lean and adaptive methodologies that are found in agile.
Throughout different parts of the business agile methodologies are revolutionizing the way we think about work. In today's rapidly changing market the ability for flexible and fast development of products are necessary.
Technology companies have been using Agile for years, now any function in a company that develops a product can use agile. Agile techniques support product development through:
- Shorter more manageable releases
- Valuing working contracts over comprehensive documentation
- Rapid responses to changes
- Collaborative development and execution throughout the life of the project

Wayne Brantley is a dynamic, entertaining and passionate speaker. Wayne is the President for Tampa Bay PMI and is the AVP of Professional Education at Bisk Education. Wayne presents on project management, change management, leadership development, and ROI. He has over 25 years’ experience from the Air Force as a project manager for AF technology training and curriculum development programs. Wayne is currently a continuing education faculty member for Villanova University Online and The Florida Institute of Technology. Wayne co-authored “Project Management ROI: A Step-by-Step Guide for Measuring the Impact and ROI for Projects”

- If using the stairs, turn right at the 2nd floor landing, classroom is down hall on the right (if using elevator, upon exiting, turn left, classroom is down the hall on the right)
- Our monthly chapter meeting & topic will be held on the third Thursday of each month EXCEPT September and December!
