Want to learn how to make networking an art not an accident?


This session with Vern Schellenger (President & CEO of Contacts Count) will introduce you to the Contacts Count approach to networking and building relationships.

Contacts Count has researched every facet of networking and building relationships for over 25 years, resulting in the development of 8 specific competencies used to train individuals on how to network. Each competency has skills, behaviors, tools and strategies that you can learn to become more confident and comfortable in the conversations you have every day.


In this session you will learn:

  • What a networker identity is and how would you define your networker identity

  • How to answer the ‘what do you do?’ question in a new and different way
  • How to use simple story telling techniques to teach others about who you are and what is important to you
  • How and why it is so important to engage others when having a conversation
  • How to ask the questions that have the potential to create a trust-based, mutually beneficial relationship

As a special offer for all chapter members, Vern is inviting you to take a complimentary Contacts Count Networking Competency Assessment. This online assessment takes 20 minutes to complete and will provide a score on each of the 8 competencies.
